This is my 27 year old daughter Emily. She has level one autism. She was born beyond perfect on September 14th 1999. Everything changed after her two and four month well visits. She became a different girl. She is now 100% disabled and will need help for the rest of her life. Don’t make the same mistakes I did. Learn at gregwyatt.com and may God bless all the parents who have to go through this unnecessary ritual.
Forever Their Rock
In 2025, Weston is 27 and Emily is 26. Both are 100% disabled, by law and by life. Weston cannot tie his shoes or clean himself, yet every single time he looks up with kind eyes and says “thank you.” Never anger, never bitterness—only love.
Emily smiles, laughs, and lights up our days, but she too depends on us for guidance and reassurance.
This is not a season they will grow out of. This is forever. And through it all, Joyce has been the rock—the steady anchor who holds our family together.
Every day is a test. Every day is a blessing. And every day, I thank God for the purity, kindness, and light in my children’s souls.
